LAS PIÑAS VISION-MISSION

Las Piņas is envisioned to be a city "in the progress of change, progressive but keeping a caring warm community ideal for nurturing healthy and socially-productive family. The city is "home", as exemplified by its official logo where a mother and child live safely in a dwelling, amidst the vast modern progress, while maintaining family and neighborly ties".

In fulfillment of this vision, the city government sees its mission as consisting of three main streams:

First, the expansion if its public services: increasing the access of its residents to jobs and livelihood opportunities, especially entrepreneurship and skills development, health care, education, youth development, legal services, socialized housing, safety and security, utilities development, and a strong system of physical infrastructure to facilitate movement and circulation within and to the environs of Las Piņas to serve the rapidly burgeoning residential and commercial areas of the city.

Second, as Las Piņas passed into cityhood in early 1997, there is full realization that with its increased revenues comes the responsibility of responding to the call of upgrading the quality of its public service, developing its human resources as it increases its city staff in the next five years.

Third, conscious if its importance in the history and culture of Metro Manila, the "Las Piņas Historical Corridor" was launched February 28,1997 by Congressman Manny Villar now a senator, as the centerpiece of its Tourism Master Plan. It accentuates the nationalism over time of Las Piņeros and complements beautifully the active annual observance of critical historical events of Las Piņas in the Revolution of 1896.
