PROGRAM INITIATIVES

To date, the city government has sent into motion various initiatives to address the garbage disposal problem and keep the city clean.








  1. The regular collection of garbage by more than 40 compactor trucks and regular distribution of free plastic garbage bags.

  2. The organization of more than 300 "Task force Kalinisan" volunteer brigades tasked to clean up and beautify major and secondary streets and do the necessary landscaping and fencing of open spaces.

  3. The maintenance of the 1000-strong Kaagapay sa Kalinisan at Kagandahan ng Las Piñas volunteers. This group is also in charge of the clean-up and beautification of major and secondary streets and the landscaping and fencing of open spaces.

  4. The greening of major thoroughfares and open spaces. This includes the construction and development of tree parks in almost all the 20 barangays.

  5. The clean-up of public markets, construction of public toilets where needed and installation of garbage bins in public schools.

  6. Regular dredging and maintenance of all drainage systems, canals and waterways.

  7. Launching of the Las Piñas Eco-Aides in cooperation with the Linis-Ganda volunteers for the collection of all junk and refuse in all villages and subdivisions. This project is being coordinated with the Federation of Homeowners' Association.

  8. Launching of the Cleanest and Greenest Communities among the depressed areas in the city.

  9. Launching of the Cleanest and Greenest Public Schools in all levels.

  10. The existing composting centers in the barangay just like the one in Barangay Pamplona II and Pilar not to mention the livelihood and the vegetable organic garden that is being maintained and sustained and resolutions in line with the environmental, sanitation and health programs of the chief executive. It also approved the budget for the program that is crucial in the implementation of the campaign.
